A massa específica (densidade) é igual a 3,90+/-0,05 g/cm 3 . A densidade aparente em função do tamanho é igual a 1,52-1,87 g/cm 3 . Possui uma condutividade térmica relativamente elevada e uma baixa expansão térmica. Em relação à eletricidade, é um isolante.
